- Press Option+D and talkEach phrase is typed at the caret as you finish saying it, so a misheard name is caught in the second sentence rather than the tenth.
- Stop talkingSilence ends the run. If the words end up with nowhere to land, aiCat keeps them and tells you, rather than losing them.

What an hour of talking costs
Dictation is billed by the length of the recording, not by words per week: roughly five aiCatCoins a minute on the recommended model and about a third of that on the low-cost one. Premium's 3000 coins a month is on the order of ten hours before anything else is spent.
Dictate rarely and there is no reason to subscribe at all — $1 buys 200 coins, about three quarters of an hour, and they do not expire.

Which AI model does it use?
By default the cheapest model that is good enough — currently Gemini Flash Lite, falling back to Gonka. You can pick Gemini Pro, Claude, GPT or a local model instead, per task.

Is my text sent anywhere?
Only the text you explicitly act on is sent to the model you selected, for that one request. Your history is stored locally on your device. Team + Offline can run a local model so nothing leaves the machine at all.
